The two young people at the next table were both studying. They were leaning in opposite directions. I must have de-emphasized the tilt on the female figure and over emphasized the tilt of the male figure. The composition works anyway.

I like to doodle when I watch shows on television. I like Agatha Christie’s Poirot. Some of my doodles are quick, blind*, portraits from a screen shot that has long since dissipated from the screen. *Done without looking.

Although it is spring, I found this colorful leaf on the asphalt. It must have held onto its tree until the bitter end. Or perhaps it is a Cheshire person all but disappeared, except for the lips.
