I’ve been experimenting with line drawings of twisted ribbons. This is one of my compositions.
This is a simplification of the grayscale portrait from yesterday.
Previous sketches in this series were line drawings. In this sketch, I the lines by themselves were not important. They worked together to create the illusion of a grayscale surface.

I fell on my hip a couple of weeks ago (I’m ok now). My leg turned colors down to my knee.
I like to start at the top of the page, drawing my line in a curve toward the bottom. The rest of the process is a matter of balance.
