Winter, Coney Island

This photograph is from the winter of 1990. I pieced it together from two photographs. It seems a little drab, but I like the isolation, the baseline from which emerge the crowds of summer.

Off Season

Here is another photograph from the archives. When I lived in Bay Ridge, I used to walk to Coney Island. I enjoyed walking along the Belt Parkway on the sidewalk in the park between the highway and the bay. I loved Coney Island in the off season.

Another Boardwalk Picture

I took a number of photographs on the boardwalk on Coney Island, NY in the 1990s. I remember it was cold the day I took the picture below. I love the ambiguity.

Reader Graffiti

Today’s watercolor experiment: I found another graffit-o-genic photograph in my files. I took it in 1991 during a walk through Coney Island.
