Flatland Jail
I have no recollection of taking this photograph, nor can I identify the subject. Any guesses?
It feels good to get back to abstraction. I have some vague notions of images I want to reveal, but no real pictures that I want to transcribe from inside my head. The watercolor below is a start.
It was a day of mixed weather: blue sky in one place; grey, lumpy sky in another. Below is an example of the lumpy part.
Among the permanent marks on the pavement, occasionally temporary ones find their way into the design.
There were plenty of shots to choose from in this parking lot on this particular day. I thought this frame was a particularly good edit.
Even ‘WAY’s get interrupted if the project is important.
I like to think of this as a photograph of ‘impasto’ street work.
