Circle in an Oval in a Square

I’m not exactly sure how the round water valve cover came to be surrounded by an oval. It doesn’t look like a machine-made cut. I like this photo for this mystery and that it could be a Ptolemaic schematic in which the earth is the center of everything.

Dream Image – Killers

I dream repeatedly about a place where I formerly worked.  There were two buildings separated by a driveway that led to an open courtyard. In my dream there was a wall of ocean water between the buildings with killer whales thrashing about.

Self Portrait Dreaming

I am inspired by the line drawings of Paul Klee, the icons of Joan Miró and lines and color patches of Vassily Kandinsky.  The study below is a portrait of myself with an eye open to the dreamscape that I visit nearly every night.

Two-Toned Spacer

I stumbled on this parking lot space delimiter by accident the other day. It was separating a handicapped space from an area reserved for low-emission vehicles. It was very thoughtful of the designer to specify two colors: blue for handicapped and white for fuel efficiency. This would give poor parkers (see Poor Parkers post) an […]
