I love bright days when the sun is low in the sky, especially when the rays glance off highly textured, rough surfaces.
I like the rich, diverse array of color, shape and tone in this shot.
This is the first time in 5 years of daily posts that I’ve missed my deadline by a significant amount. The title of the piece is how I feel.
I used rough paper for this composition. So far it is just a background. I’ve got some thinking to do before I propose an appropriate foreground befitting such a textured surface.

One usually thinks of a parking lot as a great expanse of pavement. Below is a photograph of one of the corners. Perhaps it is THE corner of origin of this lot.

This composition is a transverse view of the cloud into which the Indian Rope Trickster ascends. The region above the clouds appears to be a crucible. It is not clear if said tricksters are aware of what awaits. Perhaps it is a hot meal.
