Introspection

Another emphasis on eyes, beginning with three initial curves. The first lines in this painting are in red. The triangular black area, speckled with white seems to be gazing in at the original eye, bounded by the curved black areas at the right hand side of the picture.

Floaters

The first three strokes (in green) suggested an eye with open eyelids.The rest of the swiggles represent the objects between my lens and my retina that interfere with my vision.

Water

Lately I’ve been starting my abstracts with slashes of a brush loaded with paint. I laid in some of the curvy lines to fit in between. The curved lines suggested a directionality, a flow.  I added blue to suggest water.
