William, my grandson, is in bed. We had a nice time today, but he is so active I wasn’t able to do a sketch with him in front of me. I memorized his features and tried to replicate them in the portrait below.

Big Ben in Chalk

Lego Builder
Will, my grandson, builds with Legos. Mainly, he builds clock towers. Specifically, Big Ben. He can spend hours hunched over his overflowing box of lego parts, making a tower, brick-by-brick. I sketched this while he was engrossed in his work.
Sketch Practice
I was practicing sketching today. William, my grandson, was the subject. I had to be quick since William was very animated, as are most four-year-olds. I left my sketchbook open and unattended. William added his own signature drawing on top of mine. But tomorrow is another day, to coin a phrase.
