The other day I took a close up of what could have been a wheat field or just a bunch of weeds. Today’s photo is a reveal of my wheat field, in perspective.
This study is related to yesterday’s Arabesque. Instead of amorphous swirls today, I used my dip pen to draw in the curly figures. I do like the definition of the lines in combination with the gradual variation of the colors in the background.
Below is a sketch inspired by Matisse. I am still unfamiliar with much of Matisse’s body of work, but I’m working on it.
It was cool outside and a bit windy. I would have taken a long shot of these wonderful plants, pictured below, if there was one to take. Alas, my field of wheat was restricted to a small patch of dirt surrounded by concrete curbs, in a parking lot.
