Sketch Book Series: Railroad Museum (August 2010)
I used an ink pen to sketch this scene when I visited Sacramento. I got the straight lines straight enough and the trees wavy enough. The cars were a combination of the ink lines.
Sketch Book Series: More Negative Space (July 2010)
The hints of color were provided by ink pens. I varied the strokes to get different tones of black in the spaces between the fence uprights.

This mostly a pencil sketch. I used ink to accent some of the shadow tones and reinforce some outlines.
