This is from a black and white photo I took in 1990. The occasion was ‘Brooklyn Days’ at Grand Army Plaza. I have no idea what the name of the instrument this person was toting. It was very unusual.
I seem to remember that this newsstand was by the Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn.
I’m not sure when Brooklyn Day is exactly, but I took many photos at the 1990 Brooklyn Day celebration. I think my Aunt Harriet lived on Eastern Parkway, which is right off Grand Army Plaza. The arch at Grand Army Plaza is shown in the photo below.
