Vintage Photo: Gryphon Annex Bookstore, NYC 1988
This book store, Shakespeare Booksellers, was planted directly across the street from the Gryphon Bookstore that I showed yesterday. I took these photos before Barnes and Noble opened up across from Shakespeare.

I took this photo from the middle of the East River. This ConEd plant was very close to our apartment, and we saw it everyday. It looked different from the Circle Line Tour boat.
This photo brings back fond memories of street fairs in New York City. The gentleman pictured below frequented many of these gatherings. He played the old big band tune, Stardust, on the trumpet and accompanied himself on the piano.
This was before plastic was dangerous to be under.
