Time spent on a drawing can vary, especially in waiting rooms. One never knows when a subject will be called by the nurse for the appointment. I began with the man’s shoe. You can see the trace of the first line. The top line of the trousers was next, then the hair. As I recall, I picked up the pace from there, as there were indications that he might be next to be called in (note the more ‘sketchy’ double lines).


I love how this guy is hunched over, and looks so absorbed. The proportions and the posture give him such an individual personality, I feel I would know him if I met him.
