I began today with an application of liquid frisket. I’ve been working to perfect the fine traces. I usually draw curves with my small-aperture frisket applicator. Then I jar the watercolor block horizontally in different directions to displace the masking fluid. (In the post Double Exposure, some of the jarring motions created the appearance of an aerial view of a street map.)
I was very fortunate in arriving at today’s design. I planned some of it, with my choice of curves, but the random element (of paper jarring) added much to the original plan.
I had no idea, when I started, that this would become a portrait, no less an action portrait. I’m thinking of developing this composition with further work in my sketchbook.
I’ll keep you posted.

Ooooh. That is super cool!
Thank you, Dr. V… luck of the drip.
