Possibilities

I never realized how crazy the world of retail was until now. Last year I was worked very few hours, as I was inexperienced. But now that I know what I’m doing, I work a lot more and, this time of year, the store is open even longer than usual.  How is this relevant to my blog? Well, despite my best efforts, I wasn’t able to finish my painting today.

I did start a painting, however.  In the partial sketch below, I blocked out areas for the sky, the foliage and the foreground. I haven’t decided if the foreground will be a river, lake or field.

One of my ideas is to make this a night-time scene, with a campfire.

I am happy that I have time to think about the possibilities.

  1. I was immediately reminded of my childhood growing up in the country and so I inserted a field. But then I read about the campfire idea and that took me down another memory lane. I’d love to see your rendition if you go that way.
