Off Eye Level

In going through my archives, I found a couple of photos I took when I lived in Brooklyn, NY.   I chose these two for the camera’s point of view.

Although the sign above the record store (pictured below) was intended for maximal exposure (presumably), if one were not a curious photographer, I’m sure it would go unnoticed.

The scene below reminds me of a film noir movie set.  I’m not sure if a color rendition of this scene would portray the same impression. Since I was shooting black and white at the time, I was seeing with my ‘black and white’ eye. The clouds were definitely a factor leading to my snapping the shutter.
