Can anyone just change a sign, like someone did to the sign pictured below? More precisely: can anyone change a public sign and expect it to be obeyed? What if I pulled off the ‘FRI’ afterthought, and parked there on Friday?  Would I get a ticket?  This will remain an open question, as I certainly don’t have the inclination to test it.
