When we arrived back to home base, the house was decorated for Siddy’s birthday already. Sidra loves rainbows, so her aunt and family fried strung up multicolored streamers all over the ceiling. It looked like a stalactited cave.
How does one depict the ceiling of a cave from the far end to overhead? The sketch above is one approach. I didn’t want the closer (blue and green streamers) to extend below the colored streamers on the red end of the spectrum, as they would block the former from view. The above version of the decorated room can be read from left to right, not from depth to closeness to the viewer. The solution will take some thought.
