The other day I began a series about circles, inspired by Kandinsky’s Heavy Circles. As I was helping my wife shop yesterday at the department store (meaning as I sought out the nearest place to sit down), I propped my feet up on this coffee table, when I realized that it was filled with circles. It, in fact, was a slice of a 55-year-old tree.
The photo below indicates the birth of the magnificent organism that was destined to reside, in part, in a waiting area of a women’s apparel store.
I particularly like the circles interrupted by a parabolic figure resulting from the generation of a tree branch.
I intend to incorporate this research into my next study.
