Yes and yes! I used to love this type of drawing from old kid’s books of my dad’s era. “Is it a man or a donkey head?”, is one that springs to mind.
This wasn’t intentional. When I looked at my sketch later, I saw the little girl in her father’s arms. (The hatched lines were supposed to be a shadow.)
