As part of the exploration of my new (part-time) environment, I wander around during my break. There is terrific lighting at night all around the parking lot. It is hard to take a shot without getting one’s own shadow in the frame. I took the photograph below after I decided which post would hold the lamp that would cast my shadow.
I used photo editing filters to eliminate the yellow cast that emanated from the lamps and reflected from the concrete and the lines. I was able to recover the blue and, for the most part, the white strokes on the pavement.
However, even filtering the night lighting, one can tell this is a night shot, a Film Noir shot.
