Mike* has very expressive hands. I have posted sketches of them before (Resting Hands Revisited, Playing Hands, About to Hold Hands, Hands Full).
Years ago another resident of his group home hurt him. It is hard to blame the other guy. Mike can be very annoying. He used to steal food from the plates of other people. His injury wasn’t serious, although it looks that way.
Here is, perhaps, an overly dramatic picture of Mike after his injury. He is engaged in one of his stereotypical behaviors.
Below is a combination sketch and watercolor of Mike’s hands from a couple of different pictures.
*Mike is my older brother who is autistic, low functioning and nonverbal.
Mark’s photos in black and white are full of dramatic strenght. Have you ever thought to make a exposition- show of them ?
I did have a show in 1995, New York City. It was reviewed in Art in America (May 1996). I posted the review here https://davisbrotherlylove.com/2013/05/31/review-of-photo-show-art-in-america-autism-sibling-photography-p-c-smith/ . If the link doesn’t work, search for the post Review of Photo Show, May 31, 2013.
Thank you very much for asking!

Thank you! Really interesting!
The color contrast with the greys is very effective. And the photo is indeed dramatic. (K)
Thank you, Kerfe.
