For the past several posts I have been revisiting my enjoyment of Joan Miró. I do this with an ulterior motive: to explore his means of creation and apply them to my own ideas. Lately I am particularly intrigued by The Beautiful Bird Revealing the Unknown to a Pair of Lovers, one of his ‘Constellation’ series. I loved the ambiguity of form, the unusual name and my visual hunt for the characters. However, since the circumstances that led to his creation of the Constellation Series are so much different than my creative conditions it doesn’t make sense to replicate his process.
Therefore I have returned focus to my own process, iconography and narrative for use in my creative designs. Below is my composition: Lines of Communication.
