Lack of permanence, indeed lack of continuity, lack of logical progression (from the viewpoint of the rank and file) is a hallmark of today’s world.
Thank you for your observation. As I think about it, if a sense of place is depicted in a drawing, it exudes permanence, by definition.
Yes, drawing is preserving, among other things, and cementing a memory which is permanent, too (we hope, anyway).
