It would be nice to think that Mike was listening to Dad playing the violin. Dad loved music, and he loved his son Mike. Mike had a library of gestures that he made. We could correlate some of them with his moods. I’m pretty sure the one in this picture wasn’t related to the music Dad was playing, but it sure looks like it was.
Two people with freedom to express themselves in the same space is a testament to love. Whatever was really going on, however complicated their feelings, it’s a vast picture of humanity for the rest of us to see. Thank you.
I appreciate your observation. Mike’s autism made him oblivious to others, for the most part, so I don’t think he was ever inhibited from expressing himself. Thank you.
