A personal exploration of autism from a brother’s perspective, including family relationships, philosophy, neuroscience, mental health history and ethics
Thanks Claudia. It was worse. Ostrich-sized lump on my hip and black and blue from my hip to my knee. Didn’t hurt much after the initial shock. Walked back home with little problem Doc says it will take time to heal.
Oh that just sounds awful. But I am glad it’s not too painful. You know, I had a skinned knee (fell on a sidewalk) about 2 years ago and it took about 3 months to heal totally, and it looked so awful I could see people grimacing as they saw it. But it didn’t hurt much at the time or later, and like you, I walked home with no trouble.
Ouch! 🙁
Thanks, Ruth. Didn’t hurt much… until later.
Eek. I’m glad you are better. And hopefully not looking too much like the painting.

I had my hoodie on, and long pants, so I only got minor abrasions on my knee and elbow. Glad you came through ok.
Not fun. But it makes good art. (K)
Thanks, Kerfe. No not much fun, but not a disaster either. Learned about icing a bruise and the slow process of getting normal color back in my leg.
I fell about 15 years ago and my lower leg and foot were bruised for six months. Not that colorful though!
Glad you’re ok, Kerfe. Falls are not good.
No. I didn’t break anything, but it still swells up from time to time.
That sucks, Kerfe. Glad it wasn’t any worse.
Me too. The body is a delicate thing and age makes it more vulnerable.
