I am out of the 14×20″ 140# cold pressed paper upon which I have drawn more than 50 of my 8-part Meditation Series posts.

I start today’s Pen and Ink Series (drawn with Micron pens) on 7×10″, 80 pound, smooth-finish paper. It is more fun to draw in this format for a couple of reasons: 1) cold pressed paper has a rough finish which frequently interferes with drawing a smooth arc; 2) the images on the cold pressed paper are only 3.5×5.75″. The larger format enables me more room to “stretch out”.

Maze #1 is the start of an effort to sharpen an idea I have in my mind and to make it visible and more cogent both to me and the viewer. I don’t wish to articulate that concept in words at this point.
