The bark texture that I inked in at first didn’t seem to survive the watercolor overlay. The lady slipper collection of flowers in upright with white centers and a lavender/purple surround. I used the overall shape of the flowers and laid it on its side. I used the organization of the individual flowers to display colored centers merging with different colored surrounds. I didn’t anticipate the likeness to a honeycomb. I intended to place icon-like designs above and below the central visual element. This did not come out as I had planned.
