I was hoping to blend the texture of tree bark with the veins of a particularly colorful leaf that I found. I was successful to some degree. I this example, the color of the leaf distinguishes it from the barky background. It would be fun to try again with pen and black ink only. Or perhaps a pen and ink combination of bark and leaf with an unrelated color overlay. Hmmmm…..
