This is a ‘plant’ according to the information provided me by my the photo app on my phone. Clicking on the ‘plant’ hot spot reveals that the plant is called “Eve’s Needle” or “Eve’s Pin”. But somehow the picture that accompanies this wiki entry looks nothing like the plant whose photo I took.

I guess I won’t rely on this app to identify berries I can eat without being poisoned.
