My meditation on Paddy Reilly’s led me to the times I would try playing the Bach Double Concerto with my father and my brother Dave. I think we got through it a couple of times, but not unscathed. Dad, although he was a highly-regarded physicist, had trouble counting the beats before he was to play his part. I still think of those times every time I hear that piece.
