For me the purple and the green of the sky look almost unearthly.
[I qualify unearthly because I know those colours are in and on Earth somewhere as well as in the sky and the atmosphere and some of the other -spheres].
And in contrast the various ochres of the ground.
And for the first time I see the reflections on and of the roads and paths.
Unearthly is a good description.

Hello Jack,
the “reverse sunset” reminded me of the Northern [or Southern] Lights.
[Aurora borealis].
The cars look like cars; the buildings look like buildings.
So that tells me this effect is confined to the sky and the air surrounding it.
