Here we have a slightly different sky than two of the other sketches in this series. The clouds are not as dramatic as I would like them to be. I wish I was able to approach the look of the clouds in the reference photograph. I am pleased with how the spotlights illuminate the building on the right-hand side of the composition. In the photo, there is a panel missing in the restaurant sign. The remaining letters spell “D-I-N-E-R”, which makes me wonder what letter was on the missing panel.
