I noticed the porcelain shine as I walked by. The only porcelain furniture I know of is a toilet, and I’ve seen and photographed many of them on my walks. This chair could have been a commode I suppose, but as you can see, the detached seat in the picture does not look like a toilet seat lid. Come to think about it, there doesn’t seem to be a useable toilet seat. So, I guess this is not a commode. I still can’t imagine that it would be comfortable sitting on a porcelain-looking chair, to say nothing of where it would be suitably placed in one’s home.
