I want to display the essence of the bow hand in the simplest way. However, this sketch is more detailed than the caricatures I have been sketching lately. In getting back to learning the violin again, I remember the deliberate grip and delicate balance a violinist must employ to control the sound that comes out of the instrument. I’m try to visualize in detail, the position of the right hand and its fingers. I can’t play until I get my violin restrung (from the broken string incident, a couple of days ago). In the mean time, I exercise my hands and visualize how they will eventually play music again.
