For some reason they reminded me of some older lady relatives (I am not sure of their exact title, we had a big family and lots of people who in my childhood I did not exactly understand how they fit and now anyone who can tell me is dead themselves…) anyway, they looked like these people to me, sort of stalwart and wearing out of date clothing.
Furniture can indeed portray an era. Don’t know if portray is the right word. Maybe ‘represent’ is better. It is awful to lose the stories of the one’s distant past. I feel that loss too.
Now this one makes me laugh! I hope they get good news, but…I’m thinking probably not.
