I was more into clocks than doorways when I took the photo upon which this sketch is based. It is somewhere near 23rd Street, but I don’t remember exactly where.

I did wonder if it was on the same block [the three streets around 23rd].
And then I remembered that all the Streets are divided into West and East and their middles.
[some are blocked by Avenues like 9th and 10th].

Thanks Adelaide. I wish I remembered where it was. The storefront could have been on an Avenue, with the entrance on 23rd. I assume it’s long gone.
