This is the entranceway to the ‘Blue Tile Building’ as I like to call it. Over the doors in gold letters (not pictured here) is an inscription that says ‘Est. 189_ Founded by Adolph Sieroty’. He founded the Eastern Columbia Department Store chain, and built this building on 9th and Broadway. I’m not sure it can be seen from a distance in the clump of buildings that is DTLA; it is only 13 stories tall.
