Meditation Series: (1/8) Exterminator Chili, NYC (1989)

I found this storefront a long time ago during one of my walks when NYC was my home. It must have been just down the block from the Bar on Church and One Way, that I sketched earlier this year. This sketch poses a number of questions: What is in the bag in the open trunk of the car in front of the store? Is it a delivery? A customer of Exterminator Chili? What is the guy on the corner carrying? Clean up supplies? Is the man under the ‘one way’ sign on the phone? What is that wire having from the phone?

I can’t wait for the other variations on this theme

  1. I am looking forward to see what you do with Exterminator Chilli.

I thought the man was under the DON’T WALK sign!

[I don’t know if there were phone boxes or brick phones back then…]

That bag could have anything in it…
