A personal exploration of autism from a brother’s perspective, including family relationships, philosophy, neuroscience, mental health history and ethics
At last, one my Meditation Series (aka Theme and Variations): Storefront, Graffiti and Neon Sign NYC (1991), is now available at my Etsy store (etsy.com/shop/OtherArtByJack). These are fine art prints, unmatted and unframed. All eight are available on one 16×20″ heavy textured, archival watercolor paper; each print (6×4″) is available individually. If original printing is sold out, more are available.
These prints have been posted earlier on this blog, but here is a recap of the images. (Copyright info will be replaced with signature on each order.)

I think I know what you mean. I draw from photos myself, and while doing it I am reliving the experience, or it leads to memories or thoughts, etc. I like drawing just for this aspect of it, never mind the results on paper!
Reliving that moment of the old photo is part of it for me. With each of the eight drawings of the same photo, I delve into other ideas revealed by close study and deconstructing, in a way, the original image.
This is a great group Jack. (K)
Thank you, Kerfe! I am working on preparing other groups for publication.
I love seeing them all together. What a great body of work.
Thank you Claudia! These meditations are fun to do, plus they give me a lot to think about whilst sketching from my own photos.
