I try to abstract the essence of each photograph I sketch in the final edition of my meditations. I tried another experiment here, which didn’t quite work out. I used a white ‘china pencil’ to draw some images and text before I used my watercolors and ink pens. The idea was for these patterns to resist the water and make an underlying pattern to the watercolor layer. Next time, maybe I’ll use a wax candle.
