Rear Window – Pencil Sketch

Continuing with sketching, I stepped out onto the balcony in our new ‘digs’. Instead of paying attention to artistic considerations (such as tonal values, and interesting geometric contrasts), I concentrated on documenting the scene before me. Important spatial relationships, of course, had to be correct (or close to correct) in order to reproduce a recognizable vista.

This is the kind of sketching I need to do at this point. We are still not in a settled state here in our new abode and perhaps sketching can help me sort things out.
