I agree. I’m sad that I wasn’t able to get a picture of all of them. I remember Gotham Bookstore, Labyrinth (by Columbia) and Last Exit, somewhere near Park Slope. There were plenty of others even during my time. Even more before I lived there.
Labyrinth is still there (again, or it was pre-covid)
As I recall, it had no storefront, but was accessed through inside another building.
It’s next to the post office in a new building now.
