My ease of drawing portraits has varied over the past couple of days. Drawing today was much harder than usual for some reason. The pose was not particularly difficult, but the resulting portrait does not move me as much as some of my other recent sketches. The spatial relationship between the face parts are ok for the most part, but the image as a whole doesn’t resonate with me.

Led me to imagine a whole storyline for your picture, though. That’s worth a lot, I think.
I’m glad there was room enough for imagination.
