This is another in my ‘Parking Lot Arrow Series’. (See Night Arrow, Ship Silhouette, Mask, Half-Eroded Arrow or, Parking Lot Ultrasound, Ambiguous Arrow, Lucky 7 Parking Lot Arrow, Brand New Arrow in Shadow.)
I don’t like to set up scenes so I incorporate them into my shots as they are found. The incidental leaf from the other day was particularly serendipitous, since I discovered its serrated edge only after editing the original photograph. Today’s leaf is not as perfect, but I found it perfectly placed along with a fragment, near the apex of the arrow.
This arrow has a lot to say. (K)
Thanks, K. I wonder about the process of painting these arrow given the way they degrade with time.
It must have something to do with brush strokes and where and how they are placed. Like time is the x-ray to reveal what went before…
Deconstructed with time, just as it took time to construct!
