Here are some elements of a job similar to those which many people will be working this holiday season. I just finished a biography of Benjamin Franklin and, although I wouldn’t characterize warehouse receiving job pictured below as  ‘leather apron’* work, it can describe the class of work of that many people of today’s working middle class perform.
