I saw this icon when I was at the hospital the other day. It was on some kind of vinyl material, covering a little nook in the hallway. Presumably, the emergency equipment was behind this curtain.

This icon clearly summarizes the use of the going-down-the-stairs equipment. It’s quite good, in fact. I hope that the instructions for putting the equipment together and installing the person in the chair, are equally as clear.

Looks like the person is in a straight jacket! Rather disturbing.
I hadn’t thought of that. I thought the person was tied in so s/he wouldn’t fall off the chair, like a seat belt.
Well, there is that, of course! I wonder what it says about me that the first thing I thought of was the straight jacket. I never use the belt on my wheelchair, even though there are occasions when it would be advisable because I then feel imprisoned rather than safe. Hey ho.

This logo covers a niche which contains emergency equipment by Stryker. Presumably it is for evacuation of people who can’t get down the stairs on their own. Thanks for your comment.
