I have a few book cases in my studio. Over the years, the contents have changed. They used to be heavy with books about human anatomy; the brain (human and other vertebrates); math and science essays.
I’ve moved some of these into the Garage of Dorian Gray, to keep the studio perpetually young and productive. The book case to my immediate left is now populated with books about painters, photographers, art history and other texts about the visual arts.
I ran out of watercolor paper about halfway across the book case. I suppose I could have scaled the painting to fit the entire width of the shelf, but imagining a bookcase for an indeterminate number of books is fun.
Ever-changing. I donate books to the library sale, come home with more…that it goes off the page is totally appropriate. (K)
Thank you, Kerfe.
I just came home from a day in the library. The array of books is my idea of heaven.
Indeed! I agree 100%!
I also loved the Dorian Gray reference. It made me laugh and it was so perfectly apt.
Thanks, Claudia! I’m afraid to go out there anymore.
Ohhhh! I love this drawing
Thank you, Magny!
