Below is the abstract I painted today.  It began as a scribble that I didn’t even like. However, I didn’t change anything about it. I started with red and painted the spaces bounded by lines. The shapes I painted were discontinuous. I created a pathway for the red. I did the same for the green and the large rust-colored shapes. Finally, I surrounded the free form design with mauve.
