The inspiration for today’s painting was ‘Six Species‘, a painting by Paul Klee, Bauhaus Master (and my hero), drawn to my attention by a tweet from @artistklee. I began by trying to replicate the halo effect from Klee’s composition. Instead, my shapes became the leading edge of a gradient that faded from dark to light. I did not plan the arrangements of the outer shapes or those circumscribed within. The design holds together very well, though.
I like your interpretation. (K)
Thank you, K!

These feel very light weight to me… like they are floating in an environment without gravity and are just waiting to be be pushed, pulled, and playfully swung around.
You know I think that this could be pretty fun and relaxing to play with in VR. To have it something like you are floating in the colors of your background and have those geometric figures to play with… maybe make the figures inside the circles be buttons that produce further art that can be played with and interact with other art.. Just a quick thought that came to mind.
Thanks, Morganne. So this is a kind of snapshot of a dynamic game of pong (if you remember one of the early video games). I like your idea of VR and interactive buttons.
